Hey, Canbek. Has anyone ever told you that you look a lot like this guy named Malcolm Little who changed his name to Malcolm X? Larry R. Holmgren 03:40, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question concerning the "Zhou Heyang" article

[edit]

Dear Canbek. In the article mentioned, there is a phrase about "chinese training methods" in the game of go. This made me curious, as it sounds somehow special. Is it possible to add some more details? Your help would be highly appreciated. Kind regards Benjamin.

Hi

[edit]

An anon just added four new players to Galatasaray squad (both in GSK page and template), are they for real? I am not able to follow football closely, but in light of tons of proxies attacking some Turkish football pages, I am kinda paranoid :) Iyi gunler.. Baristarim 15:09, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I am running a pseudo-bot to fix typos for Turkish characters, and I already created the correct cats for Fenerbahce with the correct spelling using ç, so they won't be leading to a non-existing category. If I missed something, just let me know and I will either do the neccessary cat work or run AWB. Cheers! Baristarim 22:40, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Go

[edit]

Hi CanbekEsen, I saw your document User:CanbekEsen/Sandbox in the 2007 in sports category. As this is a sandbox it should not belong in there, but why don't you create the page 2007 in go already, so we can add it to the category where it belongs. Fair use rationale for Image:Marbledoubleconvexgostones.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Marbledoubleconvexgostones.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Blood-vomiting game) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks for your recent revert and improvement on Fenerbahçe S.K. Ataturk section. You could ignore last attack that deletes my addition, but it's very kind to revert it, so thanks. SONSAVASCI 00:51, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template:GoBoardGame

[edit]

Hi, I have just been reviewing my posts and noticed that on two out of 10+ articles you have removed 'my' GoBoardGame template (gbgt). My intention was to unify the Go articles using the template to guide folk around. By removing it, especially from the main 'Go Board Game' article, you have severely inhibited its effect. However I have also noted your comments on the aesthetic effect of the gbgt on these pages and your suggestions as to better positioning. Might we work together on this, as I note you are in the Go working group and I am merely trying to tidy up.

Look forwards to hearing from you soon

Image:Oldyunzimingdynasty.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Oldyunzimingdynasty.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 23:40, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
